| Ed West, PE
Mr. West is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, received a
Masters Degree in Business from George Washington University and Civil Engineering
from MIT; and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
During his 22 years service as a commissioned officer in the United States
Army Corps of Engineers, he was the District Engineer and Commander of the
Pittsburgh District (covered parts of five states, employed 1,300 people
and managed a budget of over $60,000,000). He also served as Assistant Secretary of the General Staff when General Westmorland was Chief of Staff of the Army.
Mr.
West’s corporate experience includes being the Senior Vice President
and then President and then President of Green Engineering
Company, an engineering firm with offices
in three states and three foreign countries; President of Edward C. West
Associates Management Consultants, (supporting Dravo Corporation,
Gulf Oil, PPG Industries,
and others); President of Agripost Inc, a company specializing in solid waste
disposal (turning garbage and trash into soil amendments by a unique composting
technology), and more recently as consultant on Composting Municipal Solid
Waste, odor control, and water purification.
He was the number two man on a team, selected by Governor Chiles and Mayor DeMilly, to plan the rebuilding of Homestead, FL, after Hurricane Andrew destroyed that city in 1992. He is currently consulting on the difficult aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. |
